Despite a few negative opinions from his school friends, Luke stopped at nothing to reach his goal and continued to work hard to reap the many rewards of building his own home. Maybe the critics in his life were too shortsighted to understand how possible what Luke was committed to was, but the young builder was not about to allow the negativity to get to him. He was an independent worker and did not need anyone that wasn’t willing to help on his side.

It did not take long for the news of Luke’s ambitions to travel, considering Dubuque is a small town with a population of roughly 58,000, it wouldn’t be long before everyone knew what Luke was up to. To reach out to the community Luke created a YouTube channel that would fill everyone in on the progress of his tiny house. People across America and the world at large became incredibly fascinated with his work and outcomes.
